valgie verevä
Valgie verevä is a corporeal tale resting in the primordial dream, a story of vitality and the fiery, multifaceted origins of human existence. It is a hymn to our body-soul, to löyly-the spirit that flows into our body with our first inhale at birth. Löyly, the breath that courses through our warm flesh, bones, and limbs, and that at death, continues its cycle as our final exhale.
The intricate connections between vitality, life, and blood (veri) manifest in the Finnish words vertyä (to revive, to regain strength) and verestää (to refresh, to awaken). Our bodily wisdom and our memories of other ways of being may resurface in conditions where we can let go, sink into a state of unknowing, and listen to the cues that rise from within. And when something becomes verevä, it is richly alive, brimming with vitality.
